LintelShort version: everything Lintel saves lives inside your own Wix site, in app collections that only the app can read and change. Visitors stay anonymous: Lintel collects no names, emails or accounts from them. Button clicks are counted in your site's own Wix Analytics. We use no outside servers and no advertising.
Who we are
Lintel is built and operated by Folner ("we", "us"). For the data described here, you, the site owner, are the controller and we act as your processor, running only on the Wix platform. Wix's own handling of your account is covered by the Wix Privacy Policy.
Data stored in your site
When you use the dashboard, Lintel saves the following in your site's Wix Data, in collections owned by the app:

These collections are private. Visitors cannot read them directly. The live bar receives only the published announcements and settings it needs for the page being viewed, never drafts, future messages or your notes.
Visitor data
- Lintel does not ask visitors for, or collect, names, email addresses, accounts, payment details or any other information that identifies them.
- Browser storage: the visitor's own browser keeps a small amount of information in local storage so the bar works well: a random number that keeps each visitor on the same message during a split test, a copy of the last bar content so the bar never appears blank, and whether the visitor closed the bar. If you turn off "remember dismissal", that flag lasts only for the browser session. This information stays on the device and is not sent to us.
- Button clicks are reported to your site's built in Wix Analytics with the message label, so you can see which message works. Any analytics tools you have connected to your site may receive them according to your own settings.
- Lintel sets no cookies of its own and uses no advertising or tracking pixels.
Plan and billing
Paid plans are sold and billed by Wix. Lintel reads your app plan from Wix, and for Lifetime your purchase history for this app, to unlock the right features. We never see or store card or payment details.
What we never do
- Sell, rent or share your data or your visitors' data.
- Use your data for advertising or to train AI models.
- Send data to servers outside the Wix platform.
- Access your data except when you ask us to help with a support request.
Retention and deletion
- Your announcements and settings are kept for as long as the app is installed, so your work is never lost. You can delete any announcement at any time, and export everything to a file first.
- When a paid plan ends, nothing is deleted. The bar shows one announcement and everything else is kept for when you upgrade.
- When you uninstall Lintel, the bar stops showing on your site. To have us remove any remaining Lintel data from your site, email privacy@folner.com and we will confirm within 30 days.
- Visitors can clear what the bar keeps in their browser at any time by clearing site data in their browser.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, including under the GDPR, UK GDPR, the CCPA and India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, you may ask to access, correct, export or erase data. Your announcements live in your own site, so you can view, export or delete them from your Wix dashboard at any time. For anything else, email us and we will reply within 30 days.
Security
Lintel runs entirely on Wix's infrastructure. Dashboard changes need a signed in site owner or collaborator, all traffic is encrypted, the app's collections can only be read and changed by the app itself, and everything the bar shows is checked and escaped before it reaches a visitor.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date above. For material changes we will also tell you in the app dashboard before they take effect.
